About Lira

For the beauty already in the stone.

Stone, pearl and sterling silver, chosen one piece at a time and shown as it is.

Opal that still shows its fire. Moonstone that keeps its milk. Pearls left a little uneven.

Lira began with a simple preference: jewelry that looks like what it is made of. We look for pieces where the material does the talking and the setting stays out of the way.

One or two at a time

Every piece in the shop is chosen individually from small workshops and makers, in quantities of one or two. When a piece is gone, it is usually gone. We would rather show you a short, honest collection than a long one.

Described plainly

Natural is natural
If a stone is natural, the listing says so, and names it.
Imitation is labeled
If a pearl is imitation, the listing says that too.
Measured and explained
Every piece lists its stone, metal and length, and how to care for it.
